Varouj Symonette JD, MPH Executive Director

Varouj was born in Nassau, Bahamas and is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University, the Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Virgina Law School.
He has spent over 15 years advocating for the needs of marginalized communities around the world through research and innovative community projects.  His work has spanned from civil rights and policy change at the Advancement Project in Los Angeles to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse in New York and as an Adjunct Research Scholar at Columbia University.
He is also an avid basketball fan and loves to hoop it up with volunteers and kids at the end of community projects.
